These Terms & Conditions, alongside our privacy policy and any additional information provided prior to confirming your booking, outline the rights and responsibilities of both parties involved in the safari adventure. Please review them carefully as they constitute the agreement between you (“Guest”) and the respective invoicing company (“we,” “us,” “our”), as detailed on your final invoice.
Booking Confirmation
By making a booking, the lead guest agrees on behalf of all individuals listed in the itinerary to:
- Read, understand, and abide by these Standard Terms & Conditions.
- Consent to the use of personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
- Assume financial responsibility for the booking.
The lead guest must be over 18 years of age and authorized to disclose the personal details of all individuals listed in the booking. The lead guest accepts responsibility for payment.
General
Final itineraries include details such as accommodation, meals, transfers, and activities. Exclusions comprise items not specified in the itinerary, such as visa fees, flights, and personal expenses. Itineraries may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, with efforts made to minimize disruptions.
SKL Group reserves the right to adjust services or costs due to unforeseen events beyond our control. A Commitment Fee of 20% of the total booking value is required to confirm the booking, which includes a Foundation Contribution supporting conservation and community projects.
SKL Group is not liable for delays or disruptions in guests’ international or domestic flights. Guests are covered by medical emergency evacuation insurance, but additional medical and travel insurance is recommended.
Reservation Process
Quoted itineraries provided more than 60 days before travel require a Commitment Fee within 14 days. Quoted itineraries provided less than 60 days before travel require full payment. A binding contract is formed upon receipt of payment, acceptance of Terms & Conditions, and submission of Indemnity Forms.
Booking Procedure
All bookings must be made in writing to the company or through the company’s website and must include at least the following information.
- Full names and nationality of guests
- Dates for which bookings are made
- Number of rooms and room configuration
- Special dietary requirement (if applicable)
- Provide medical and travel insurance details
- Source agent (if applicable)
- Use the following email addresses for specific bookings

Payment Instruction
- All payments must precede per our terms and conditions.
- Complete payment via Bank transfer for the full invoiced amount, mindful of bank charges.
- Utilize the reservation number as your reference
- Submit your proof of payment to us at campsavuti.res@sklcamps.co.bw
- Final payment is due no later than 60 days before travel or 100% payment if booked less than 60 days prior.
- Failure to make timely payments may result in booking cancellation.
Booking confirmations
- Provisional bookings are held for two weeks and automatically released if unconfirmed.
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is necessary to confirm a provisional booking.
- For confirmed bookings, full payment is due 60 days before travel.
- Cancellations or amendments without written notification
- Cancelation follows the policy below
- Payments must be free of bank charges, and borne by the payer.
Changes to Booking
Guest-requested changes may incur additional costs and are subject to availability Refunds for lower-value revised itineraries are applicable if changes are agreed more than 61 days before travel.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation terms apply as follows:
- 61 or more days before travel: Forfeiture of 30% Commitment Fee.
- 60 – 46 days before travel: 50% Cancellation Fee.
- 45 days or less before travel: 100% Cancellation Fee.
Refunds are not applicable for events beyond SKL Group’s control.
Guest Responsibilities
- Complete booking forms accurately, including passport details, dietary requirements, and medical conditions.
- Familiarize yourself with the Terms & Conditions and promptly comply with instructions. Maintain adequate travel and medical insurance and ensure compliance with immigration requirements.
- Inform SKL Group promptly of any requests or changes to itineraries. Adhere to baggage restrictions and sign required waiver and indemnity forms.
SKL Group Responsibilities
Plan and arrange itineraries, provide information, and make reservations. Supply relevant brochures and assist guests in making informed decisions. Endeavor to accommodate guest preferences and notify promptly of any itinerary changes. Assist guests in difficulty and provide appropriate information and support.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for obligations affected by circumstances beyond their control. SKL Group is not liable for compensation or refunds in case of Force Majeure events.
Disabilities and Medical Problems
Guests with special needs should provide details before booking to assess suitability. We will accommodate special requirements where possible, or cancel bookings if necessary.
Complaints
Report any issues promptly to camp management for resolution. Unresolved complaints should be directed to the SKL Group sales consultant. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 28 days of the end of the stay.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law
Disputes shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of the country of the relevant SKL Group entity. The laws of the respective jurisdiction govern these terms.

Child Policy
- Children 0 – 4 years: Free (sharing with adults)
- Children 5 – 17 years: Up to 50% of adult rate
- Children 18 and above: 100% of adult rate
Travel Insurance
It is mandatory for guests to have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and delays due to weather conditions. We recommend Global Travel for your insurance needs. Please visit Global Travel for more information and to purchase insurance.
Photography, Drones & Copyrights
While African safaris offer exceptional photographic opportunities, drones are strictly prohibited at all our camps due to interference with anti-poaching patrols. Our guides and staff may capture photographs during your safari for promotional purposes. By participating in our safaris, you consent to the use of these images by SKL Group of Camps and its partners.
Liability
National Parks and Conservation Fees are subject to change, and we cannot be held liable for unexpected fee adjustments.
Travel in remote African regions may involve rough terrain and exposure to wildlife. While we prioritize safety, accidents may occur, and guests assume all associated risks.
SKL Group of Camps reserves the right to alter or cancel travel arrangements in the interest of safety. By making a deposit and final payment, guests agree to these terms and indemnify SKL Group of Camps, its associates, and partners against any claims arising from unforeseen events or changes.
Indemnity
- SKL Camps shall not be liable for costs arising from factors beyond our control, including but not limiting to force Majeure, war, riots, terrorist activity, natural disaster, health risk, flight changes or cancellation, similar events. Guest are required to sign an indemnity form which is digital once they have made bookings.
- We are not responsible for any consequential losses whether direct or indirect.
- Rates, terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice
- All legal matters arising from our terms and conditions will be governed by Botswana Law
Agreement to Terms & Conditions
By submitting the Agent Registration form, you acknowledge your agreement to the terms and conditions outlined above. You waive indemnity to SKL Group of Camps, its agents, associates, and employees regarding travel-related matters.
Conditions of Entry to Campsites For Camping Clients

Rates Exclude
- Bed Levy fee: P 10.00 per person per day (settled with SKL Group of Camps) Our rates are inclusive of this bed Levy Fee for Campsites
Park entry fee:
- Chobe and Moremi– P270 per person
- Makgadikgadi– P190 Per Person
Vehicle fee:
- Chobe and Moremi – P115Makgadikgadi – P750 per day (foreign registration, settled with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks)
Rates Include
These camping rates exclude the following
- Litter-free site (cleaned and raked)
- Maximum of three (3) vehicles per site
- Usage of clean ablution with en-suite showers and toilets
- Anti-bacterial soap and toilet rolls available in toilets
- Daily waste/rubbish collection
- 14% Government VAT
